My desire to learn graphic design stems from the late sixties while working with my mother, who worked as a secretary for a church she attended. I worked alongside her, processing weekly church bulletins, announcements, and programs on a duplicating stencil machine. At that period, I became interested in designing and creating publications; business forms and letters; wedding, birthday, and baby shower invitations; obituary programs; fliers and newsletters. My clientele consists of friends, word-of-mouth referrals, and churches. My original plan of action was to establish a business venture with my mother. She later took ill, so that goal never came to fruition.

In 2015, Designed With Luv by "D" was established, perfecting my craft in obituary designs. The knowledge I've endured stems from being self-taught on the design program Xara Designer Pro; this particular software was recommended to me by a friend since Adobe Photoshop was not part of my portfolio.

Other multimedia experience areas consist of photography snapshots of community events and special programs.
